Taramps Amplifiers

Hello,
For a while now I have been searching a new amp for my sub, and I have been curious for a long time about those Taramps amps because they offer really high power for low price.
about their ratings I know it's true, but how about their reliability?
will it stop working after 2 month of use or so? or even will it caught on fire?
for now, I won't power it anywhere near 3000 watts, but planning to on the future.
what do you all think? should I but it? i'm thinking about Taramps HD 3000. or should I stick to soundstream, skar, sundown and etc..

Personally, I’d take the Sundown SFB over the Taramps. I know you can get a 2 year warranty with the Sundown. Not saying the Taramps is trash or anything, but that’s just me. There are a lot of people running Taramps just fine, but if it happened to go out after a year it’d be nice to have a warranty.

At first I was thinking about Soundstream T1.4000DL it also has a great power and comes with 1 year warrenty.
I have a budget of 200$ max including shipping, becuase i'm buying through ebay or amazon.. that's why I cant buy any amp..

The HD3000 is an old amp and designed for midrange. The HD line was replaced with the MD line.

As far as reliability I am at like 11 or 12 Taramps amps now. Not a single problem out of any of them. They also have a 1 year no questions asked warranty.

Had a Taramps 1200, 800, 400, & 3K for about 2 years. Never had an issue.

Whatever you do stay away from the Soundstream. Those amplifiers don't make the power that they claim anymore. Ever since they sold out they are a crap amplifier company. Also don't give money to that owner of Skar if possible.

I would take Sundown over Taramps as well that is just imho. Taramps isn't trash I just like the fact Sundown comes with a 2 year warranty vs a 1 year. Sundowns as well also are known to make more power then what they are rated for.

so what will you recommand? buying taramps hd 3000 even tho its old? or buying the Soundstream T1.4000DL ?

Stay away from the Soundstream, they are junk period these days they got bought out and are considered the cheapest of the cheap for quality these days. How much RMS do you really need? You can buy Sundown on B-Stock or Refurbished for 200-250. I would take the Taramps all day long over a Soundstream product these days. Not like it once was 20 years ago with them.

yeah I know sundown is good, i have sundown subwoofer, but their price is really high.. about the soundstream amp, this specific amp ratings are correct, there is a dyno video on youtube, so i guess this specific amp is good isnt it?

Actually no Sundown SFB amps are not that expensive. Once again what is your RMS that you need? And what ohm are you running it at 1 ohm or have it wired as a 2 ohm? Also what version of the SA? Classic? V1? V2?

Because if you are running a V2 you don't need a 3K amplifier for a 1000 watt RMS subwoofer. You can get away with the SFB 2000.1 easily or the SFB 1500.1 they make more then what their RMS is stated. Also the V1 or Classic is 750 watts RMS.

i have the 750 rms at 1 ohm version. as long as I remember. the thing is I want a strong amp because im planing to upgrade my system and buy a 15 inch sub or so..
and i'm not from us, so thats why i need sites that ships to other countries like ebay

Also Williston did a dyno 2 years ago on that Soundstream and it failed to make their stated RMS Ratings at certified. So IDK what video you saw

So what 15" then. That is what we should have needed to know.

Also if you contact APEX or Sundown and ask them to ship to you I'm betting they will. Very easy to ask Apex and they respond within a day sometimes within a few hours.
