the gear's not great, but it's for a friend who's giving the car to his kid.

i've followed both diagrams for, NOT MINE, a bazooka EL260 amp. I've spliced into the stock leads to the left 6.5 sub in the back deck. No matter what I do, i have to disconnect and re-connect the speaker level plug to get the dang speakers and the after market to work.

I've wired the standard and floating way...neither seem to work.

Anyone ever have to mess with one of these?

at a loss. already tried a PAC loc too with no results.

You cant do a loc on these cars, especially the sub's in the rear deck. Those speakers are crossed over inside the factory amp, which most of the time is mounted on the left hand side of the trunk behind the trunk panel's. You need to use an Audio Control LC6i, or a LC8i, to get the inputs for your sub amp.
