yeah but when you start a "who was tantric" thread, your talking about ANY tantric. The SHD is the equivalent of a supercharged 99 series with The tantric is rated for higher power, the DD is underrated though, I can't speculate on power handling. However, biggest point here is a SHD is NOT in the ballpark as a 9500, the SHD is playing in the "major leagues" 9500 like it or not would be playing overseas in some chinese league, lbvs. The 9500 series is more like a HDD, which most DD dealers won't be at a comparable price, even paying shipping with for the HDD. The SHD is WELL under $1000 shipped probably anywhere in the USA I would imagine from the prices I've been quoted by Murphy.. Maybe a 24 shipped cross country, but thats the cone area of 2 18's in one freaking sub.. Come on now lol.
Point is the market isn't where it was in the 90's when DD was winning everything. Go to shows, those days are basically done. Most of the records that still exist for DD are because most people aren't going after them. There are a lot of ****** tantric and sundown builds that are bass race style (all tantric subs are designed for music, first and foremost) that still put up good numbers that win contests and set records. Sure the loudest car in the world may use DD, but really who cares. Extreme cars aren't even cars anymore, I bet a walmart pioneer puts up a 60+ in that car anyways. It's just guys with a **** ton of time and money who aren't even playing music anymore or even have a car that can be driven at all burping one tone hitting 180+. Great engineering feat, useless for what 99.9% of us really care about, like it or not.
