i got my motors on thursday like you said. the top plates look like they are new. fast shipping. i'd buy the est if i had the dough
Mine showed up today, woulda kinda liked to have known that three of the screws were hacked off to get the basket off, should make it fun getting them out.
**** metal shavings? screw studs hacked off that sucks..
Ok so now that I got a day off to look more into this it gets better. Aside from the three hacked screws, which mind you wasnt disclosed anywhere in this post or the discussions we had via email I also have some nice shavings in the gap. But wait thats not all folks it gets better, Dave responds to my previous post with:
"the screws arent hacked off, the top head broke off. needle nose pliers and some muscle will get it out easily, but if you are sending it into anywhere for a recone theyll take it out themselves, i was advised by lilmaniac2, or chadkevinhicks, since he did the original recone that the screws being like that is no big deal and can easily be taken out."
Granted neither of the two mentioned are involved in this transaction but he felt it was worth asking them about it, just not worth telling the buyer.
"needle nose pliers and some muscle will get it out easily" obviously you knew better than that or you wouldnt have broken the **** drill bit in the screw trying to get them out unless thats your version of a little muscle.
So here is the deal, the price was $185 + shipping + paypal fee whiched ended up at $220. Now that was for a MT motor in good shape, not one in this condition. We got a couple options that be taken, you can choose to ignore this and blow it off, you can issue a full refund in which case I will return the motor and eat the return shipping cost and you do as you please with it, or we can do a partial refund and send me a little cash back to make this transaction a little more along the lines of what someone would of paid for this semi bunk motor. Just remember in making your choice karma is a *****, so do the right thing.
