i know the tahoe and yukon are basically the same truck...but what i'm looking for is a full size SUV that can fit 5 people very comfortably and still have room for say 8-10cubes box for some major wang. The tahoe and yukon just happen to top the list for me. My budget will be $10,000 for a nice used vehicle. Would finance another 4-5 grand if the right vehicle were to pop up. Want V8 power with 4x4 as well

just looked at this one....pretty **** close to what i'm looking for

Base Yukon > Base Tahoe

Z71 Tahoe with body-colored everything > Yukon

Yukon with Denali grill > Z71 Tahoe with body-colored everything

Denali > All

My personal preferences, in regards to aesthetics only. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

that looks like a nice truck. honestly you should be able to get it for about 8500.

i sold my loaded 2000 that was lifted and a bunch of other extras for 10k

as for space you can get about 20cubes still under the glass in them

I've actually been looking at those too. Personally, I prefer the Yukons because they look nicer and generally come with leather. So far, I've found 5 or 6 Yukons and Tahoes with 4wd, decently equipped, and decent mileage for under 10k. Pretty much anything under 150,000 with a gm v8 will do well for you. Those thngs run forever if you take care of them. My roomate has a 1990 c/k 1500 with 358,000 miles on it that still runs fine.

Get the yukon. I don't know why but they have better resale. I love my denali.
I don't know about that. I only found one good tahoe in my price range, but about 5 yukons. I'd still rather have a yukon than a tahoe for that generation, and if you get a nice one, there's really no reason to get rid of it until it craps out on you at about 350,000 mles. Resale value shouldn't be a huge concern imo

I have an '07 Yukon and we looked at both before we bought. I thought the fit and finish was a little nicer on the Yukon, but that's just my opinion. I was also told that the Yukon has a little more sound proofing from the factory than the Tahoe.
