T112D2 help w/ enclosure

Im getting a 02' Ranger this weekend and i need to downsize my box to fit in the back seat. I have a Rockford T1 12" with a Diamond Audio Amp, its hooked up 600 rms @ 1 ohm. Ive seen specs state everywhere from 1.25 to 3.12 cu ft. Rockford says 3.12 cu ft @ 40 Hz. Not sure what to do here if someone can help me out. Thanks.
