Okay, I think I've made up my mind on my upgrades but I figured I'd get some feedback from the experts(not me) before I ordered.

Old system- 2 12" Rockford punch he's, 1000 watt Sony Amp

New system- 2 12" Alpine type R's (500 watts rms, 4 ohm) and a Viper 1200.1 amp

Will there be a big difference in your opinion? Any suggestions are welcome.

thats the same setup i am looking to buy soon. the r's and the viper should be a nice upgrade

I've got a question also. Will this amp power two subs or is it made for one sub?

It'll work just fine for powering 2 subs.
