Ok, i just purchased the Pioneer 880Prs from a guy on these forums. Im new to this whole active and passive thing and spent all last night trying to figure it out. The last of my equipment is on its way, infact should be delivered tomorrow. Right now im just trying to get a fill on whats going on and what i have gathered from previous threads. Sorry if this stuff has been covered.
From what i understand, Active is alot more complicated/hands on tweaking. I got a set of MB quart QSC 216 comps and a rockford 4004 comp amp is on the way. So if im going "active" i do not need the crossovers from the comp set? By using the crossovers i would be going passive? My sub amp is an IA 20.1 and subs are my DP15s.
Basically, i dont know. The whole thing confuses me. I know i went with an advanced unit, but im willing to learn. Just need a good clear understanding on whats going on and how i need my system to be set up. Im going to keep reading and searching to understand but if anyone would like to help me out, feel free to respond
