Is it possible to put a system in a hybrid vehicle? i know that the battery is not in the same place as regular cars and i'm lookin into getting the new altima hybrid.. would it be possible and would it require more work

As long as the audio system still operates from 12v, it's pretty straightforward to replace it. All the hybrid vehicles I'm familiar with still use the standard radios found in their non-hybrid counterparts. You just have to be cautious with the high-voltage wiring.

thanks for the quick replies guys.. well if i do get the hybrid i would be buying an extra battery to keep in the trunk to power the system, but some wires or components would need to be connected to the stock battery and alternator correct?

Yes, you would need to have the 2 batteries wired together so that the alternator would charge your second battery.

On a Hybrid, I would buy 2 or 3 extra huge batteries to make absolutley sure that you have enough reserve. On a hybrid, no electrical power = no point in having a hybrid to begin with.

If you are crusing down the highway (and pulling from the batteries) and you crank your stereo up, you might be able to notice your car slow or kinda jerk when the bass hits, if you dont have enough battery reserve. This is just a pure guess, but it sounds logical.
