What do you think 4 12" Kicker L7s to a powerbass 3,000 watt @ 1 ohm amp could be capable of. I will be buying a pretty nice alternator to supply the amperage.

Its all in the install but you can get some really nice scores with that equipment if your going for spl.

1997 ford explorer sport, boxes would be from nolteaudio.com. I'm trying to get as loud as possible by maintaining some SQ, which is why my "boxes" will be from Nolte. Would that powerbass 3k watt amp run the L7s nicely?

dual 2s would give you....

4 ohm+4ohm=2

2 ohm+2 ohm=1 correct....?

that would be wiring each sub to 4 ohm, is that correct or am i wrong?

He wanted to maintane some SQ not obliterate it, lol. 38 sounds alil high, maybe something in the naighborhood of 34?

34 is not what i would consider to be SPL at all, more like SQ/SQL

SPL tune at about 50-55

they are going in John Nolte's doubleshots, I love his boxes, call them horns or whatever, but they sound amazing nonetheless. 3000 watts is all i can afford, and I think that will be enough to get loud on 4 12" L7s.
