System Help

Been awhile since I posted here...

So I got a 2005 GTO. I'm looking to do a sysetem in it. Of course not also adding a ton of weight in it (200 lbs max) since lately I've been into the performance thing.

We don't have much of a trunk to work with W-48"xL-12"xH-14" is the room there would be for a sub box. Then I'm screwed when I gotta put something in there (like groceries). Plus I've never had my subs in the trunk of a car, so I'm not sure how much I would like that. I think it would sound muffled to me IMO.

So another option is people have been putting 8" subs in the factory 6.5" sub location. If I could get some W7 8" subs there that might be enough for me... but I doubt it. I believe there is .6cbft for a fiberglass box there for each sub. The gas tank is right below it (in the trunk) so there is not much room.

Another thing is people have been taking off the rear side panels where the rear seats are and putting 10" subs there since there is quite a bit of room behind it. I'm guessing maybe .6-8cbft for a glassed box. Of course this would mean cutting up the panels, etc.

As far as equipment goes now I have an Alpine CDA-9833 HU, Boston Acoustic 3-way 6.5 Pros, 2 12" Alpine Type X subs, 1 Alpine MRV-F545 amp, 2 Alpine MRD M1005 amps, and 2 1F caps. I'm not sure about reusing any of this stuff besides the amps.

I'm either gonna use the HU or sell it and wait for an Alpine IVA-W200. I'm not really sure, Eclipse HU's have always been nice too.

Then I want to sell my 3-way components (so I don't have to do any modding to the doors or a lot of it) for some Boston Acoustic Z6's or Profi-Vanadium Kick-Bass 6-1/2's. I'm wondering how the 3-ways could compair to the Z6's?

Then for subs if I go with two 8's in the stock location I would go with W7's. Or maybe I could go with 4 8's, put two in the factory location and two more in the rear side panels. Or if I went with 2 10" subs in the side panels I'm looking at Image Dynamics IDQ's. Or I could just take out the rear seats and do 2 12's, or put them in the trunk //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

I only want to do this once, without really ruining the car. Looking for a low-mid 140db system. Mainly looking for SQ/SQL as you can tell. I really need some help here, thanks //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
