The IDMAX 12 will be fine. Will put out out more bass than two 8's in the doors.

Thanks Misfit. This looks like a great setup. The only thing I wonder is if 8s would be better for tight puncy base than the 12. I've never heard an idmax sub, so I could be way off on that. Let me know.

The equipment I linked, if properly installed, will sound amazing...

I'd go sealed, but it'll do great either way....as long as your enclosure is built to ID's recommendations.

Just a bit of info, OP. Image Dynamics is regarded as one of the best companies out there. Arc Audio is no slouch either. I'd choose Arc or ID equipment over JL Audio everyday and twice on sundays...

I've heard that both companies are excellent. I just have to find someone to help me out with an installation, and building a box. There are a few Infinity specific enclosures online, but they are all for 10 inch subs.
