System got stolen

You better tell her to focus on an good alarm,FIRST....meaning hiding the brain where its hard to get at,battery backup-siren,and tell her to quit dropping the bass around everyone in town. She might as well have a ton of car audio stickers on her car......

a RE SE 12, and a DEI1100d would be perfect in a nice 2.5 cube ported box. should be like $325~350 + wood for the box. but you should use AT LEAST FOUR GUAGE WIRE FOR THIS AMPLIFIER.

How do you make this assumption without actualy hearing her "bumping in town", let alone even know the person at all?

This is actually a funny response.....First of all she has a stereo without an alarm.....1st mistake....2nd it was stolen so people were aware that she had a system so it did get advertised at some point in time, which would be the second mistake. And last but not least u cant sit here and tell me(even without knowing her)that she hasn't bumped it in town at one point in time.Thats all it takes to draw attention to yourself.

So you are trying to tell her to stop doing what everyone already does?

No....but at the same time u have to be smart about what your doing or risk losing ur equipment.Thats the bottom line.More so if she decides against the alarm.

Your an idiot then. Someday it'll happen to you just like the rest of us. You might as well set your car audio stuff on your front porch for someone to take.
Maybe I'm an idiot.

Or maybe I realize that by:

1. Not playing my system excessively in highly populated areas

2. Parking relatively close to buildings and/or under lights

3. Driving a vehicle that although it's highly conspicious, doesn't scream "Someone under 25 drives me! Look here!" and doesn't fit any stereotype

I stay under the radar //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

This got really off topic. Yes, an alarm could be very useful, but no, you don't necessarily need one.

I think she should get a Type-R //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

Hey I am with this guy here. I mean I had a old school cutty that got stolen 1 summer ago with almost 5000 in stereo equipment and 1500 in rims and tires. I had it all customized for the system and had 2 alarms on it. These are the easiest cars to steal. It was an 85. I used to go around bumpin my shi t in bad areas and just not giving a crap. I live in a very good area but never thought about were I worked at would get stolen with all the security around.

Now I dont even have an alarm. I am just smart about where I bump it. I have a car that looks mostly stock and fits in with alot of other cars. I park it at work and keep the camera on it at all times. I am in the security field so my friends keep an eye on it. So just be smart and I wish you the best luck. I am sorry you lost your system. I know how you feel. You live and you learn.

Also alpine guy why dont you just get her some alpine stuff? Get her the type r's. Peace!//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/up2something.gif.dd110ecf3ae4b76050d87598f2f8de7c.gif

12" alpine type-r (since she likes alpine): http://cgi.ebay.com/BRAND-NEW-2005-ALPINE-SWR-1222D-12-TYPE-R-SUBWOOFER_W0QQitemZ5813132269QQcategoryZ18803QQrdZ1QQcmdZViewItem

viper 600d:http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2426

Sub: $112

Amp:~$150 with shipping

Total: $262. Enough money left over to buy a 4 gauge wiring kit and box supplies.

Or you can step up to a viper 1200d:http://www.ikesound.com/product-product_id/2424, but i think that would be too much power for her (may get a little out of control with the gains and whatnot), but it does give you some headroom to expand (like another type-r for instance. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)
