hell, it could be 5 years or so. so... maybe i do need to seek something more... nontemp. (couldn't think of a better word). diamond audio looks pretty good. i mean i see 10's and 12's, and amps. haven't checked prices yet.a few years is a long time.
is there any subs closer to 60 each? whats the diff between dual voice coil and bass driver? also between full range and subwoofer in amps.2 of thesehttp://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=12441
and let me find an amp
i have 2,000 dollars to do whatever with. how much do i wanna spend on subs and amps? no more than 200-250. i'm kind of saving my money for next feb to move across state to live by my girlfriend. i just got done building a 1,750 dollar gaming pc.blut.. how much money do you have to spend?
the factory door panels are 6x8's and 6x8's on the rear side panels, you're going to need to get a 6.5 mouting bracket to go in to the holes, you may also want to deaden your door while your at it or you will be annoyed to hell with the rattling. Also, with that big ass trunk you'd be best to go with 2 15's. It may cost a little more but if your going to be having this system for a few years then it would be worth it. Don't be stingy on your budget. Also for the type of music you listen to you would be better off going with a sealed enclosure for your subs. You can go to home depot and get them to cut the wood for you all you have to do it put it together and cut the hole for the sub. It's as easy as can be and will give you a lot better sound cheaper than a prefab box would. Also, if your trying to stay cheap go with profile amps, they have pretty good quality and do around their rated power.
say I didn't replace my stock speackers, got a guy from here to build me a real good enclosure, and got two infinity 12's for 60 dollars each at circuitcity, and then got this amp.... http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14687 or this amp http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=13614 or this one ... http://www.onlinecarstereo.com/CarAudio/ProductDetail.aspx?ProductID=14688hmm... with that budget 2 10"s is looking real good... IMO the inifities are a good way to go... even the 12's... seal them up real tight and they will sound great, and don't need a lot of power ='s a decent amp for cheap //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif look for a good 500rms amp to push them and you are good to go
BTW, I'll build you a box minus the carpet for 20+materials and shipping if you need one //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
OR i have a dual 12" enclosure, fully carpetted, sealed, it's prefab tho :/, i'll give it to you for 20+ shipping //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
yeah NIN is the type I listen to. some bands more electronic. but NIN type music sounding good is what i'm gong for.I put 249 into my headunit, which was retail like 320 or so. Little over 700$ for my comp set and amp to power them. I would be patient and save whatever money you get if any and go for a better system, shy away from sony at all costs, and any other mainstream brand...circuit city wouldnt be even the 50th option when searching for car audio, just for things that dont matter lol, like adapter plates and wire ties hah.... Im no expert just personal expierence, I like Diamond Audio, later on im getting diamond subs/amp....check on ebay, go here man this is the store i buy from, 3 day shipping! http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Control/fp/SFV/30046 good luck...oh yea Diamond Audio is good for a clean sound...I listen to some industrial...NIN if there considered that, not much on japanese rock
