I have a 2009 mustang. I have 2 alpine type x 10's (sealed box) rated 1000rms each. Power acoustik crypt 4000D amp rated at 2200rms (wired down to 1 ohm). I have a alpine mrp-f600 wired to 4 alpine type R 6 1/2s. I have 4 gauge power and ground wires. 10 gauge speaker wire to the subs. When I go to turn up the volume (amp at about half gain) all audio will cut out, both bass and music. But both amps keep power and so does my headunit. The only way to get the sound back is to turn my car off and back on. I have a stock alt and battery. Any suggestions?

thanks

decks have a protection? never heard of that lol. Even if it keeps normal power as well? and the little bit of play I can get out of it it doesnt seem to be as loud as it should be considering its 2000rms.. Any suggestions on what to do to fix it?

that PA amp is not putting out 2000 watts bro... sorry to tell you, but their over rated...

as far as the HU, take it back to the shop that installed it... very easy for an installer to not crimp a wire right, and then you end up getting a short, which will put the HU into protect

not always... sometimes the audio circuit and lcd circuit are ran separate, so it could be in protect, and still be "on" ...

like i said, take it back to the shop that installed it... any reputable shop will go back over their work at no charge, if they did something wrong
