Symptoms of a leaky sealed box

I have a sub/box that used to work really well and now it just does not seem to get as loud or handle the power as well as before.

I believe I may have a leak somewhere - possibly from removing the sub and unscrewing the mounting screws so much that the screw holes are semi-stripped.

What would you expect from a sealed box that had somehow sprung a small leak?

if you press the cone in, it should push relatively easy, but then pop back out SLOWWWW

and if you play it really hard for a few minutes, and then pause the music, the cone will slowly travel back to it's resting position

I'm on my first sealed box. Had a problem with mine a while back. I thought the sub was busted. Got a funky vibrating sound. Went overkill on the caulk and all is good.

Could never tell a difference on a ported box. I had holes where I ran the wires and closing those made no difference at all.
