ok after redoing my install, im getting the symptoms that a wire is crossed or touching, but i've checked up and down every connection and i cant find a problem anywhere.. most of the wiring is brand new.. all terminals are fine.. all spliced wires are soldered and fine...
it basically appears mainly when theres a heavy bass note, one of my amps will cut off (leading to my upper midrange/tweets) usually before it cuts off it will present some sort of minor static, which leads me to believe that it is a wire touching.. and from the vibrating, makes contact.. somewhere..
now my only other conclusions is maybe something is wrong with the crossover, but i dont think its that.. because i dont think it would cut out like this.. or maybe the speaker itself... =[
im not 100% sure and figured i'd ask around here to see what you guys think.. over the cours eof the next day im gonna unhook the speaker and drive around with only one hooked up until i determine exactly which one it is..
btw its not a voltage issue, and i tried it on another amp and the same thing happened.. im just afraid maybe something got down in the voice coil area?
