SX 18 Box, advice needed

Im putting an SX 18 in my ext cab silverado.

Im going to make it 6.5cuft @ 32hz, with port area of 90sqft.

90sqft is 3.5"x25" correct?

The way I read to do it is, take the the amount of port area you want and divide it by the height of your box and you will get your width of what your port should be.

Im wanting to do something different with the tuning, Ive always done 32hz, its just a happy median. I listen to everything, rock, rap, and trance mainly. I want it to pound and have a good low end but still hit the highs. But I have heard that you dont get good results if you tune in the 20s with an SX. Anyone have any thoughts on that?

Would anyone like to design me a box for this? I could do it myself which I probably should but I want to see what other people can do.

Well this is what I came up with....

Im going to do an 8.7cuft box @ 30hz

Before sub/port disp. its 10.5cuft

The box will be

43.25" wide

25" tall

20" deep

Port will be...

4" wide

23.5" tall

25.5" long = 1.6cuft disp.

Hows that look?
