Switching L7 ti 2 type r

hey guys i got a Kicker l7 12 inch in a box i just made 3 cubic foot tuned to 34 hertz running off a zx1000 and i kinda want sometihng with a bit more Sound quality and was thinking of 2 12 inch type Rs! how do you think they would sound in that box with that amp would they be as loud and would 500 watts rms be enough? thanks,, jeremy

I've never been a fan of type R's... I think they don't sound that great at all.

*Don't flame me for this* I've heard a pair of Swiss Audio SWP 12"s and they sounded really good in a sealed box. They were loud, precise, and very hard hitting.

They are a bit hard to find, but I recommend them highly.

type R's have plenty of sq. 4 cubes @34 is a good sql box with about 2000 watts on it. otherwise you can tune lower to get a flatter response.
