switching HU...Pioneer to JVC

I have own the pioneer p-780mp since it first came out... Its a cool HU..but once a while it will froze..where the knob wont work or cant eject my cd. Plus Ipod is slow and RCA output is a little distort it. Im think of look into a HU with Built in GB HD for GPS and MP3. so i wont have to use my IPOD....(since apple **** and it will froze (like a pc) once in a while). I am pretty low on cash so i cant afford those high end DVD/GPS Nav Flip out HU...Im thinking of going with JVC KD-NX5000 retail for 1k at crutchfield but i can get at ebay for 3 bills less.

Anyone has own this HU..how does it compare to other HU especially my p780. Will it fit nicely in the dash or will it stick out a little bit knowing that the face look like its bigger. BTW i own a 5th gen prelude so this will be going in it.. If i get good feeback for those who has own it i might get it.

I like my JVC arsenal better than my Pioneer premier 860mp... similar price I got a dvd rather than just mp3 and it's been in there a long time, like 2-3 years now cause I had it in two different trucks, and I drive pretty ruff offroading... it doesn't skip or have rca noise or crap like the pioneer did... pita when stuff like that happens... I actually have to get my wifes alpine 7897 or something serviced now.. oh and my pio did the freeze crap too, you gotta turn off the key and turn it back on lol, or remove the face and pop it back on iirc... ghey...

Been a long time fan of JVC. I really wish they built all their HUs like their EXAD stuff. Own a AR8500 myself. The LCD screens they use are supposed to be really good, so I've heard.
