Switching from Factory system to head unit

Ok this is my problem. I got my system installed while I had a factory system, so they used a converter. I guess they spliced in into the back speakers, well atleast thats what it looks like. Circuit city did it.

I just bought a head unit, but I want to hook my subs up to the actual head unit, and not let it be spliced into the speakers. What should i do?

Do you have an amplifier to power said subs? If so you can run a patch cable (RCA's) from your subwoofer amplifier to your headunits pre-outs, if it has pre-outs.

Yea. Its just a regular set of subs and a amp. but I didnt want to have to run wires all thru my car again. because i paid circuit city to run the first set of wires.
