Swapping amps

I have a Infinity amp but there is a problem with it putting out static through the tweeters so I have a replacement coming. What should I do before I switch around the amps in regards to electrical safety? Should I take the fuse out?

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
Is this the only safe way? My battery is located under the front fender and the only way to get to it is if I jack the car up, take the tire off, then take off the fender skirt. Its a huge pain and I would like to avoid doing it if possible.

Ah, the lovely Dodge way //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/frown.gif.a3531fa0534503350665a1e957861287.gif

In that case, yes, removing the fuse on the power wire will do the job.

I guess you had experience with Dodge cars before. It really is a pain when I need to do some work on my Chrysler Sebring:(
