SVC dumb question

Ok i never really learned anything about SVC subwoofers, what are the possible wiring configurations for 2 ohm SVC subs and 4 ohm SVC subs. Which one is going to be easier and cheaper to match with an amplifier?

if you only have one sub you can only wire it one way...how many and what ohm rating is each, if your using more than one sub?

Well i was going to pick an amp after i figure out what ohm im going to be wiring it to. Theyre 175 RMS SVC sub's, and i have the option to get them in either 2 ohm or 4 ohm, im trying to figure out which one is best and then after that match it with an amp

Oh, and i would only be running a single sub.

You will need to check the various power ratings on the amp at various ohm loads. Most amps have a higher 2 ohm load rating rather than a 4 ohm load rating.

id get the 2 ohm sub and a small mono block amp. i think kicker makes a 300w mono....

I'd get the 4 ohm sub and a 2 ch... more versatility with what you can do with the amp later if your needs change.

x2. Plus, the amp will run cooler and more efficiently @ 4ohm.

Most 2 channels are only stable to 4 ohms bridged and run a little warm that way. Shouldn't be an issue unless the amp is sketchy to begin with.
