Supplements?

Supplements ill do upto a certain point. If you're taking like 6 different kinds, id say you're taking it a bit too far IMO.
All you really need is some protein and to speed things up a bit, creatine. Other then that, the rest is excessive. They will market and sell anything, but they cant sell correct diet and hard work.
word.

BTW, creatine, explain this further... the most I went was protein shits...

I heard creatine can be harmful?? //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/confused.gif.e820e0216602db4765798ac39d28caa9.gif

Creatine harmful? never heard such a thing. As for speeding things up, I was reffering to recovery time. There are way, and I mean way too many articles to dig up about info on that.

I can however find a few links and let you come to your own conclusions //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

But do u keep the muscle that u gain thru creatine?

is it just water?

also I heard it was bad if u dont drink enough water.

like it shits up ur liver/kidney or something

Wake up thirty mins early, and run. Do not eat or drink before. Dont use real heavy weights if you work out just really light. When you cut your weight enough then start on the sup's and start working heavy if that is what you want to do. Dont go from being fat to straight lifitng hard and eating em up.
Actually, I am in the process of losing weight right now and lifting heavy has been better for me. When you lift in the 1-5 rep range, youre mostly building strength and not size, so it wont affect your weight loss at all. Once youre down to a size youre satisfied with, youll have the strength to make up for that lost fat in muscle when you start doing a hypertrophy (size) routine, good luck:D

Another great misconception. I was burning more calories back when I was powerlifting then the average person does in hours on the treadmill. And I still lift heavy in-season during contest prep for a show (Getting down to

I never stopped taking it when I was lifting, so im not sure if Id ever lost anything. I wouldnt really consider it just water. Dont listen to BS others tell you man, read up on it and come to your own conclusions.

Even protein is bad for you if you dont drink enough water. Gotta keep them kidneys well supplied with water. I wouldnt worry about it though. Im sure you've heard of the loading, and all that stuff.

I never concerned myself with it to be honest. 5 grams a day is more then plenty. I took it daily for extended periods of time (months, years) and never really had a problem with it. Check this out:

That site is full of good info, word of warning though. Its swarming with morons, trolls, you name it. Its like this site, multiplied by 10 //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gif (more actually)

When it comes to weight lifting, I cant stress it enough to take it slow and gain slowly over time. Sure you'll see some ppl come it and blow up while training like an idiot. Guess what though, 99% those ppl end up injured and on the sidelines while you pass them by. Stick to form 100% , get all your warmups done. Stretch like hell when you're done. The longer you're in it, and the stronger you are, the easier it is to get injured. Paying attention to the smallest details pays off at that point.

I could dig up more links of you want them, I dont want to cause an info oveload though.

Mr. Savage;

I didn't mean you had the mentallity of a drunk or baby, I mean arguing over the internet is like that. Neither of us will ever agree w/ the other. It's just the nature of the internet. We can both come up w/ 1000's of studies and links to back up what we are saying. I'm just to lazy to open a google window and do it though. You burned more calories than I did right there, so go eat your peanut butter and cottage cheese now so you don't go into a catabolic coma state.

By the way, eating something 5-6 times in 12-14 hours would be ideal. Lot's of small meals/ snacks is perfect when your on a good workout regimen. If you could eat your three basic meals and then something nutritional/ good for you in between each of those, that would be great.

I stated that I would go to bed at 10:30ish, that's why I would not eat after 7. I would then get up at 5:30 and head to the gym. By my calculations, that is roughly 17 hours to get in 5-6 meals.

Yes, we both are right to an extent.

Sorry for the misunderstanding about being a drunk bastard //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif.

I can agree that we are both right to an extent.

However, your math is off. If you wake up at 5:30, and stop eating at 7PM, that's 13.5 hours. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

I just feel that you're better off going 8 hours without a meal then you are 11 hours (that's if you don't eat 3 hours before bed)- your metabolism will be effected by doing so.

I hear you about the longer hours. I'm old now //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif , so my metabolism has slowed down anyway. I would never eat breakfast and I would be starving by 9:00 in the morning. That's why I most likely lost my fat so quickly, my body was eating it away to survive.

When I stated 17 hours, I was refering to how long I would be awake. Not how long I went w/ out food.

Your math skills are a little off, 7:00 PM to 5:30 AM is actually 10.5 hours. 5:30 Pm to 7:00 AM would be 13.5 hours. See, that late night food that you are eating is affecting your math skills.//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

If it was up to my stomach, I would eat something, take a shower, eat something, brush my teeth, then eat something again and finally got to sleep just a few minutes later.

I was just using 8 hours as a generic time for sleep. Therefore, 8 hours of sleep, plus not eating for 3 hours before, is 11 hours //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif
