supplements and diet

*Prepares for a thousand posts with uneducated persons suggesting supplements, routines, and diets that work for them and think they'll work for everyone else without knowing the subjects current and past health + family health history, current eating habits, access to a gym, level of experience, etc*

You're going to have to be a lot more specific. "Results" means a lot of different things to different people.

The only supplements I bother with is whey protein after I lift weights I drink a protein shake. You are suppose to to take in 1-2 grams of protein per lb of your body weight like if you weigh 120 you should eat 120 grams of protein. I tried glutamine but I was still sore after workouts so I quit taking it. I think most supplements are a waste of money because I have made good gains with only taking protein so why spend money on supplements? Do research on http://www.bodybuilding.com under the supplement section to find out what people thought about certain supplements.

I'd hate to admit it but he's right.. most likely you'll have to try out a bunch of stuff before you'll find the one that will work best for you...

well im just trying to get healthy and not look to bad with the shirt off for the beach this summer..im not looking to get huge.. im about 6'2 190 right now so im not fat or anything i have a small belly i guess and id like to lose that and gain a little muscle so im just looking for the best things to do for that.

*to get wieght- protein and weight gainer, 6 square meals a day, high carb and fat intake. *muscle bulk- creatine, amino acids, multivitamin, protien, and 6 square meals a day *to get ripped- creatine, mutlivitamin, low carb intake, low salt intake. this worked for me and tis is based on college workouts and my dad owned a gym for 7 years and competed in powerlifting meets as i did so its based off of years of tried and true studies and workouts.

eh, i say, if you are 192, you have all you need... just work out daily for 6 months... people look to get big quick when longevity when results are seen...

chest and tri's, legs and bi's lol... even twice a week each is plenty

yeah im not a small guy i just want bigger arms/chest im not lookin for results instantly.. im looking for results in a few months and i just want to feel a little healthier and have a little more energy.
well i'm not a big guy myself, but i lifted 4 times a week for 4-6 months and man did it make a difference... but i had a lot of anger to work off so i reallllllly worked hard.. pushing yourself to the limit is what gives results, not quitting at 11 reps because 12 seems to far away, know what i mean?

Pick a workout routine, 3-5 exercises per major muscle group....Legs, Biceps, Triceps, Chest, Shoulders, Back. Then add some cardio, probably anywhere from 90-120 min should be good if your just looking to lose a little fat. See how that goes then worry about supplements if you don't get the results you're looking for. My workouts generally consist of 5 sets x 5 reps, and I do anywhere from 3-5 exercises and workout each major muscle group once a week. There are plenty of different types of workout routines listed at bodybuilding.com, check them out, you may find something that is more appealing to you.
