sup guys... nooob to the site.

i dont know what "comps" are, but yeah they are just some JL 6" door speaks. they came in another car i had once upon a time and sound pretty good. so i kept them and put them in this car... same with the 6x9s.
and yes. it does sound amazing to me. anything with zero distortion is always good when it gets loud imo.
it doesn't take much power to get loud. 50 watts rms of good amplifier power will be loud enough, i just didn't know what kind of fronts you had. I guess their jl, so that's good

oh yeah there's no way my amp is turned up all the way. it's up like 1/3 of the way on both the front and rear gains. anything more and i think it's too much power. i personally wouldn't have chosen this amp, but i came up on it in a trade for a b16 head a couple weeks ago. the amp came on an MTX thunder 4500 series 15" sub with a box. and since i drive the integra sedan, it wouldn't fit into the trunk. . . only if i had a hatch... lol. oh well. so i sold the sub and box and yeah... now i'm still venturing into some other shizz.

here's the 15 i was referring to...

here's a shot of my old setup. i sold it with the car. it was all in my jeep grand cherokee. pretty basic setup i guess. it was a sony HU with pioneer premier 6" speaks all around. and then the type R 10" in ported box to the alpine specs. i only ran a 400watt mtx thunder amp (old mosfet power) on the bridge channel and it pounded pretty good. i've been a fan of the alpine subs for a minute now. they sound pretty good i think.

I spy VTEC. Welcome to the site.
What kind of Honda do you have?
nice eye.. you spy an older accord motor. out of 95 accord. i swapped in a new jdm f22b into my friends accord a little while ago... that's the old one sitting on the ground. it has a fat hole through the crankcase where the snapped rod decided to find a new home outside. . lol.

and i drive a 96 db7 integra.... i think i mentioned that somewhere.

Haha. I was going to drop a h22 in my accord but ended up selling the car before I found a good motor. I didnt even see the integra part though.

I actually read your post about the integra...lol im stupid.

it's cool. and personally i would never do an h swap. i probably wouldn't do an accord either.. but if i did have an accord and i wanted to swap something tarded into it, i would Gswap it. f23 block/h22 head on kseries typeR pistons. . . that's just me though if i were to go with accord shizz... i like to stick with the Bseries personally.. i may adventure into the k (cuz they're easy as fkuc) but they're just more expensive.

Actually alot of people have h22s in accords, and since I have sold the accord, and thought about it...I'm glad I didn't b/c it would have been to much work and money when the car wasn't worth all that much.

I had a 92 accord frame code cb7. >.

yeah the hswap was pretty popular in the late 90's and the beginning of the turn. but no one is out there running 9 and 10 sec quarter miles in an h series these days. maybe a handful of people in the country have been able to do that. around here everyone that's putting down 500-1000 whp is doing it in a hybrid bseries setup of some sort. and that is what i am building. before getting into car audio, my adventures were building motors (and still are).

Oh, yea, for 9s and 10s I wouldn't do a H swap, but mainly these guys are just using them as daily drivers and they do get a power boost from the hs over stock.

B20?

Never seen a b series in a 90-94 accord though, must be a difficult swap, and thats why most do the h22, its straight forward.

yeah i guess if it were like more of a show car, any swap will seem pretty bad *** under the hood. but yeah, the motor i am building is for daily drive purposes. . . i would just like to turn up the power as much as i can do safely on a build. 400+whp on a boosted hybrid motor really is the icing on the cake when it comes to the all over driving experience imo.

that hswap of a friend of yours looks clean as fkuc btw. pretty bad ***. my only problem with the motor is that it weighs a ridiculous amount for the power produced. other than that their cast iron sleeves are probably their biggest selling point in my book. they can take a fkuc load of boost without blowing a sleeve. that is the biggest downfall with the bseries. aluminum sleeves loose their integrity around 20 psi boost (depending) so the b-block is only good to about 500 whp without sleeving it. but then once you have a sleeved b-block on your hands, it's just about how good of a turbo setup you have to put down 500, 600, 700, 800,900++++ whp. just my .02 on swaps.

This is one of the highest HP cb7s I have actually seen in person.

Not sure what his numbers are, but they were up there for a f22.

Of course when your throwin that kind of money around, it better be puttin out some good numbers.

Most of these are just basically show cars, or well...basically who can have the best looking h22..also I think they are so common because there is so much information on the h22 swap for the 90-94 accords.

We use to have cb7 meets, like 50+ cb7s per meet, thats why i miss mine so much.

Incase your wondering the cb7s are this (haven't seen this one inperson =\)

I know someone who has done a h23 swap, whats the diff between the h22 and h23?

yeah i like those old accords. i'm actually looking for a 4door for my sister to drive. and i believe that b20s used to come in older preludes, so i don't think that they would be that hard to swap into an accord.

and i'm pretty sure you could safely tune 12lbs to a stock accord motor. 12 lbs on that motor could = 300+whp if done right. what kinda turbo mani is on that fseries?
