Not a nuthugger, but I do defend a quality product that has been abused in my truck for the last 6 years now (ran the old cones 5 years daily, they didnt break, I swapped them to gain rigidity with the new style). Hate to see people steered away from a good product just because people get pious here just to snicker at big name brands. Yes, Kicker has a few lines that are cheap and I would never run, but yes they have a line that on par with anything you put it up against.
Nope, willing to put money on it. As I have time and time again. Oh by the way, I have quite a few people who've stiffed me and owe me, but I've never owed anyone after placing such bets. I've even done this against multiple 2 18 and 3-4 15" setups. Other owners ears as the judge.

I was going to rip into you, but I see you noticed the error of your ways. I would be deserving of being called stupid if I was putting an L7 or L5 or L3 against the big dogs of the audio world. Good subs as they are, they don't hold a candle to more powerful competitors.

not necessarily. I see a solo x in his avatar. IMO i would rather have a solo x. Then when i blow it competing i can be ready for the next run in a matter of minutes. You guys are forgetting about the solo x. The only kicker still in production that i wouldn't mind owning.
Thank you for noticing, and pointing that out for me. I've been VERY impressed with them. They are absolute beasts and as I said I have abused them handily but have been trying to get my hands on some DC LV 5s and DD 9500 series to compare. If they handily beat the Xs, I'll change; otherwise I'll run these in my 4 12 wall setup with my newly procured Warhorse.
