So.... why do you have your gains 'all the way down' anyway? If you are artificially keeping output low for the subwoofers' sake, bragging about artificially low gain settings is kinda pointless.

Ive never, ever seen an amplifier whose minimum gain setting meant 0 output. They dont go from 0-5volts, its usually something like .2v-5v.

I only respect setups that consist of one company and claim that company, its just stupid to win and claim only one company. Thats like saying, well the sundown amp won it, but there subs **** so we went with another company, which we wont claim.

Besides the treos would probably be louder than nightshades on that power anyway. Just because someobdy doesn't choose to use a sub doesnt make it an inferior product, its just what they use.

very well put but i couldnt use nightshades even if i wanted to with the depth i have to work with and the aeroports being as longa s they are and the box size. SSi's like small port small box applications. which works perefectly for what i wanted.

Not talking against him. But kinda made me think of idiots like.. Um listen how loud my bass is but the volume is only at 28 and it goes up to 35..... Although the bass maxes out at 28. But somehow they think although it maxes out at 28 that if they turn it up to 35 it would get louder. Idiots. I must hear that twice a week.... I dont' get how they think even for a moment that turning it up past the MAX the subs are putting out will create a number that exist past the max volume a sub can put out on that power..... That or the other popular one is and my bass is only at 0..... idiots. I just want to burn their cars to the ground lol

i would if i was going to be home but i gotta go back to iraq to finish my tour. and i have never messed with the gains. im sure it would get even louder if i turned up the gain but im happy where it is.

Yea I am a rookie with gains. I had to do it by ear but I am sure I am close.

you make me envious for selln those to u, good job lol,, my voltage was idle at 12.8 and when the bass hit it was 11.8, and i was tuned at high 30 like u, in 7 cubes off 750rms each ,i hit 149

No, not simple. Not dogging you, but your comment implies you are oversimplifying something you shouldn't, or do not understand gain settings. For all we know, your signal strength allows your amplifier to output full capabilities with a very low gain settings. Or your h/u settings mean your signal strength is artificially high, again allowing your amp to output alot of its potential with minimal gain settings.
