Now if it was a full sundown setup, then fine....

I only respect setups that consist of one company and claim that company, its just stupid to win and claim only one company. Thats like saying, well the sundown amp won it, but there subs **** so we went with another company, which we wont claim.

Sorry, just venting. We had a company running MT's with 8 boss audio amps, they won the bassrace and claimed.. Boss Audio overtook team RE

but I would think with the gain all the way down you would not get any bass

that's how it is on all the amps I've had, I mean it's off = no bass

not if you have a high volt preout on the head unit

lets say that you have a 8v preout on the HU like an eclipse

that means that if your amps minimum setting, is 8v, then gains all the way down is the optimum setting

all in all, gains all the way down dont really mean much if you have a high volt pre out on yout HU

soooooooo yah i got on the TL today. im not as happy on the meter as i am to the ear i guess. i burped it on the TL sealed on the dash and only managed a 148.6db. but did manage a 151.0db in the kick haha for shits and grins.

my HU is a 5v pre out. so with 0 gain im VERY happy with the sundown amp. just too bad im not a 150 sealed on the dash though. o well it sounds AMAZING! on any music that i play so im very happy with the install. it wasnt designed for an SPL application. its my daily driver. so no matter the numbers i just wanted a great sounding setup and i got it luckily. first enclosure with aeroports and im very pleased. wish i could demo it for more peeps just to show it off. most would be VERY impressed with midlevel 15s //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif

alright well i just got my install in my crx finished today. and decided to show up at some small competition in danville illinois called bass wars or something like that. unfortunetly they are still using the audiocontrol. im running 2 Treo SSi 15s off a sundown 3000d with the gain turned all the way down. VERY BADASS might i add with the gain at 0.
there wasnt much competition there. well technically there was pretty much nobody that knew what they were doing it seemed like. but hey u'll have that. the crew running it didnt expect the score i put up //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif SUPRISE!

im VERY happy considering im only running 2 mid level 15s. should be a solid 150+ on the TL on music even with the gain turned all the way down.

Congrads. I still hold record for highest legal score at buds(lol) back when the mic use to work at least. It is junk now. You going to hit the meca marion show that was just posted a few days ago i think. I prob will be there with the mountaineer with the 8 12's

Yeah that is pretty good. mine was like 25 to 55hz

So.... why do you have your gains 'all the way down' anyway? If you are artificially keeping output low for the subwoofers' sake, bragging about artificially low gain settings is kinda pointless.

Nice install, I like the car.

Ive never, ever seen an amplifier whose minimum gain setting meant 0 output. They dont go from 0-5volts, its usually something like .2v-5v.
