Sundown Subs

SA woofer is excelent for what you pay it will perform very simular to a w6 go for it you will be happy. as far as amp I really like the crescendo bc2000, and if you are on a budget hands down the ppi bk1800 is the best deal for dollar per watt on a decent amp.

Another to check out is the soundqubes hds300 series I have a buddie with a pair of the hds300 12"s on soundqubed q2000 amp and it is very loud, clear, and a noise complaint machine.

If I remember correctly my sa12"s in the wifies car are in 2.0 cu3 net tuned to 33 hts I have it in a mid sized suv, I went thru 4 boxes before I was happy. I started with sealed, then went to 1.75cu3 tuned at 35, then 2.25 tuned to 30, to what I have now. make sure your port is square if you are making your own box if you are buying prefab try to find a box with the largest port area possible, helps eliminate port noise such as the chuffing you get outta prefab boxes at high output lvls.

Make no mistake 2 sa 12"s on about 800 to 1000 rms flat get down

Now I'm having a hard time deciding. They both sound like there great. Just want something that is loud but at the same time still has decent SQ. Like I said before I'll be running the SA off the rf1500bdcp and maybe the crescendo 2000d. I don't think the w6 like to be to be overpowered much so 1200/1 should be good enough? Or any other experience with this sub power wise?? Guess what I'm really trying to achieve is I listen to a lot of rap music and looking for a setup that can play the song rack city and hit all the notes perfectly. Reason I choose that song is because not too many song I listen to go below that note. Maybe white girl and hypnotize.

SA and Crecendo if you listen to rap. My low tuned SA8V2 shined on:

#1 "On My Level"-Wiz Khalifa

#2 "Put On"- Young Jeezy

#3 "Make It Nasty"- Tyga

Rack city sounded pretty good too

Get Psyph Morrison's album "Diamond in the Mudd." All slappers, hits the highs and the lows. Or just download decafs stuff.
"All I Gotta Do is Hit Her" is my favorite Psyph song and "White Clouds" Is my favorite Decaf. May not sound good on every system though

Any idea how big of a box I should get build? If I go by spec on the site it says 4 cubic ft tunes to 34hertz for the SA. Not too sure if that's before any bracing and sub displacement. Can anyone give me a idea of how big of a box to build. Should I build it around 4.5??

**** 4 QF? I didn't realize 2 SA's would need that much space. I was planning on doing two 12's of some decent brand like SA or SQ but I only have about 18-3/4"D x 31-3/4"W x 15-3/4"H to work with. Think I can get that big with those dimensions?

tantric md 12. 750w rms rated conservatively as well. its an sql it gets loud and sounds really nice doing it. and they have a bunch of excursion will get some air moving. i have hdd's and they sound very musical as well as stupid loud

I don't think they need 4 cubes, that's crazy. 2 of them maybe, but not 1. Soundqubed subs like big boxes though, might wanna go 2 10s. I got 2 HDS210s in a smaller than spec box with probably 1000-1200 watts goin to them and they get down pretty good. If the car they are in was running I could of give you a listen, I'm in Sac too. Not sure if you know this or not, but Arden Audio sells Sundown, one of the guys has 2 Sundown X12s he let me listen too. Pretty **** loud

Yeah I was talking about 2 12" maybe before any displacement and bracing the box should be around 4.4 I'm guessing??

Really I think that's a place I was going to go take a look at right by Arden mall right? I went to Audio Innovations in Roseville but to be honest their work was mediocre imo. Just as an example when they installed my H.U they used a pac unit that didn't hook up my stock amp thereby rendering my bi-amped 6x9s virtually useless.

It's a little hole in the wall place ARDEN Audio

As far as installs ill only have Acme Tops and Tunes do my stuff. Pricey but really good work. There's a dude in Roseville that builds boxes, he built mine. Does good work. Does it out of his garage. Home - IDYLLIC ENCLOSURES

Then I would get the dual 4 ohm subwoofers and wire it to 1 ohm like in the link below. Those subwoofers are 500 watts rms so running them at 1...

Sorry for the double post, I meant to post this in the enclosure section. Mods can delete if needed.

Do not mix and match subs. Unless they're identical make/model/version they will not function properly in the same vehicle together.
