Sundown Subs opinion

I have a 2001 s10 ext cab. I don't know what to choose. 4 sa-10's, 4 sa-12's or 3 sa-15's? The subs will get 3000w rms @ 1ohm daily and 4000w rms @ .5ohm burps. I am going for overall loudness on music and some spl. The box will be made by Dave the box guy so that's not a problem. What do you guys think?

3 15's imo...and that box is gonna be huge and cost a ton lol. There are plenty of guys in OH that will be willing to help you with a box.

Three 15's if you have the proper space for them. four 10's or four 12's can easily handle that power too. If you can fit them with adequate air though, three 15's.

You could say that about any sub choice.... Kicker, DC, DAD's, PSI... there's always something different. Sundown may be the best woofer for his budget and application. I spent a good month shopping before I chose my Sundown, they had a deal I couldn't pass up. I'm hoping this is the case of the OP, and he's not just buying cus everyone hugs their nuts.

I have never seen a SA woofer have a thermal melt down and they're extreamly good for their price range. Im not looking to spend $500 per sub like some people. They are in my budget and one of my favorite subs.

Three 15's is by far the most cone area. I'd go that route if I had the room, or you might consider 2 18's, more power per sub that way but less cone are by a little bit. Dunno what would give you more of what you are looking for.

Nothing wrong with Sundown subs by the way, if they are your slice of pie, go for it! Should slam!
