Sundown Saz-1500D blowing fuses

Previous owner blew the power supply.
All the new FETs still look good - maybe one of the transformers just has a short.
Wow!! I had no idea you had access to what was previously done to this amp without a serial #...How'd you know what was done?...Does Chris share his repair history with you or something??

Nah - the burn marks tell me that //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wink.gif.608e3ea05f1a9f98611af0861652f8fb.gif

Most commonly caused in the 1500D when people turn the gain and bass boost wide open and play it like that constantly... most often with stock electrical systems.

Gotcha...And I still have stock eletrical....However, the "bass" knob hooked into the amp is never turned past 1/2 way....I thought that effected the gain....I just went and checked my gain setting and I guess the last time Chris had it he had turned it all the way up...I didn't check it before I re-installed it in March....Oh well, I know he'll fix it....Thanks for your time //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Have you always remembered to check everything you should in your lifetime? OH, and according to Jake, my gain was never higher than 1/2.... Sure, I'm rich....I love spending money on repairing amps. //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/tongue.gif.6130eb82179565f6db8d26d6001dcd24.gif

not a amp bro, g/l

I'm going to send it to be repaired...My voltage was pretty low....Maybe 10 volts? I don't have a digital meter that I've checked it with....However, I had the same setup all last summer and I never had an issue....So I was surprised when this happened...But stuff does eventually break....I am considering getting a HO alternator. But I'm not ready to invest $300 into one...
