I just purchased a SA v4 8inch sub. I have a T-Line box that was used for a kicker L series and the box is pretty big. The dimensions are 3ft In length x 2ft width x 17" in height.. I'm just going to buy an MDF board off home depot and do the cut out, but my concern about this is if the box is a little too big for the sub? Should I give it a go and see what results I get? Or just simply make a new box?
The sub is going to be powered with a XTerminator 4000D monoblock amp rated at 1500W RMS at 1ohm. Is it a good go for it or no?
** the specs on the the kicker box said to get a 2.1sq enclosure so i don't know if I did the math correctly but the box ended up like that and yes it bumped hard. Would actually surprise you to know it was being handled with an L3 **
