sundown and hifonics

why does the sundown saz 1500 have 1/0 terminals but the hifonics 1608d only has 4 awg terminals? it doesnt make since. and if i get the hifonics what should i do? a distro block with 1/0 going into it then just one 4 going out? is that even ok with 1600 watts to only have 4 gauge?

Never really paid attention, but you would think it would. You could always get a 0 to 4 guage adapter.

the Hifonics will probably put out 1600rms on its best day with 14.4 constant.

The Sundown is over-built considering its a 1500 watt amp, but could probably put out 2,000rms at 0.5ohm on 14.4 or so. pulling more current while doing so

That's what Im doing. 1/0 into a distro and like 6 inches of 4 gauge into the amp.

just step up to the 2008d for the little extra and no need to worry about it. it takes 1/0 easily.

my crossfire vr4000d only has 4 awg inputs.....but it has 2 +, and 2 -

thats still less than a 1/0 input tho
