eh...4ga is fine for ~100a-120 in 20 foot runs, though you'll lose some voltage at that power draw.... As you can imagine, a run of 3 foot of 4ga is fine for way over 1600w @ 12v...I think you'd only lose about 0.3v in 3 foot of 4ga pulling ~200 amps, being conservative.

Run 1/0 to a distro then do like a foot run of 4 to the amp... or use reducers. If you have a back battery a 2 or 3 foot length of 4 AWG from that should be fine.

But yeah the hifonics is rated 14.4, so on the standard electrical it will probably get a little less. You can put 1400-1500 on a good 4 AWG line. Not on the wal-mart type wire. You will probably still have voltage drops though.

The sundown is underrated. It will make every watt in most conditions, more if you have a good set-up.
