possibly, in my 2 years in dealing with basic electronics I dont know anything that could make it sound quicker, but like i said i dont know for sureStill I believe that there are some sonic differences even between mono amps. I have had the Rockford BD 1501 and Crossfire VR 2000 amps. For me, the RF sounds better than the CF. It has a faster, more accurate response. It may have something to do with its bd technology, slew rate, or damping factor? Not sure though. What I'm sure is, it sounds better.
You may have a point there. It may not be the best sounding sub. because they have a very different philosophy in building their subs. and subsequent box tuningI've yet to hear a dd sub sound good....
Hahaha you're not alone on that one.this is why i read and dont post
Now that I have your attention, //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gifThe sundown sounds great tho...
Sundown amps are good because from what i've read they are built good and customer service is good.. Why would i choose a sundown 1500d over a kicker zx1500.1? final ohm load, depends on what subs i have and how i have to wire them. Customer service i would say goes to kicker(from my experiences and what i've read). My friend is a kicker rep and i've never seen him have a warranty issue(regardless of what happened) with kicker. I mean i even bought i kx1200.1 off him and it was blown, kicker offered me the upgrade to the zx1500.1 since they had a problem finding the part i needed, now thats customer service. From tests i've seen the kicker puts out a little more power, but again at different ohm loads. I like supporting the small companies as well and its good to see sundown amps getting much recognition but i just don't believe that sundown customer service and products are at par with kicker yet, just my opinion. To the guy who had both and preferred the sundown, what load were you running the kicker on and what load are you running the sundown on? What subs were you running on both amps? just hard to compare the two unless the installs were pretty much the same. All I hear is "they won't break". What is it about them makes them soooo good? I'm trying to learn more about amplifiers, and I'm curious what specifically makes the Sundown SAZ-1500 better than say, a Kicker ZX1500.1??

Nope the box had a little vibration going through it though. I mean depends . reliability states in all ways. The amps love under ohm from what I hear. But they don't like vibration. Personally due to a lot of my systems have TONS of vibration through the vehicle not my choice of amp. The boards seem to flex. Just depends what type of reliability you are speaking of. Some amps that take a physical beating blow up easily... So it is what your needs arethe amps arent bulletproof, but we have done some stupid stuff to them ( burping them at 1/8th ohm strapped and they still played....
you have to be doing something ( ie mounting them poorly to the box ) to break them...
as long as they are installed properly I dont see them breaking.
also they will do rated power in the poorest of installs
