Sundown Amplifiers lineup is changing

How true. But will the new board just be a reboot of an old board?

The first versions were knockoffs of the Soundigital so I'd imagine it'll be just either some small revisions on those or a knockoff of a newer design from one of the Brazilian companies. China doesn't do much by way of innovation and it's not like Jacob is paying a proper electrical engineer to come up with proprietary amp designs, nor does he need to for what that brand is trying to accomplish.

NuttHug on S.Down if you will. Especially when the Owner makes derogatory comments and a BS Smear about raising prices ect on products on this forum for the people in general that actually bought to bring the company to where it is today.

Have you ever seen his facility? What do you suppose he pays in utilities? In property/payroll/corporate tax every year? How much do you figure the company eats in warranty claims that a lot of other "brands" would cop out on? I'd wager at the end of the day his margin on an 8K Chinese soundigital knockoff is less than that of Soundqubed or one of those other "brands" that's just one guy and commercial storage lot. He also needs to bake enough markup into MSRP so that distributors AND B&M and online dealers can make enough of a vig to bother carrying the stuff.

Mind you there's not much in their lineup I would buy, but it's not like Jacob is just a greedy fat guy with a tophat sitting in a vault full of money bags.

You can buy TeamPie amps all day long and throw your Logo right on them.

Why? To join the race to zero with every other """brand""" doing the same thing? Or to run them myself and have to ship the thing back to China for a repair/replacement if it breaks?

This is all I could really find when searching through Jacobs posts. I mean I get that people are upset they are raising prices but they are mainstream now and regardless of price, they are still killing it. 2 year warranty and honors that warranty too.

We completely agree. Jacob is areal piece of **** and always has been. It's absolutely hilarious people think he's some kind of speaker engineer, he's a clown that sends money to China for generic product. People are hilariously attached to him though. The amount of straight scumbags in car audio companies now days is shocking. (Jacob, jp, Colin buckwheat, etc)

The SIA line of amps is a Chinese board with Korean parts. That's what makes it probably the best full bridge amp out there. Sundown will be coming out with an SIA 8K, 16K, and 24K in the not too distant future.

From reviews and Dynos and Ive seen a few in action.They do rated power. Look pretty solid. Ive seen and heard a couple of the 7500s in action. They do very well.Im sure a little more pricey than others. But look like they are built like tanks.The amps that are really tearing it up in my opinion are the Down 4 Sound JP. For the $ those guys are slamming some #s. CT Sounds CT amps. My 2ks are serving so far; Ive ran both and running a single atm, a 150.4 to put to work soon,Sound Qubed amps and a few others. Lots of options for the $ these days

Not sure how many people they employ but the building I see on Google maps is really small. You could fit 8 or 10 of those in the old Sundown building that he outgrew like 8 or 10 years ago.

Not knocking Soundqubed, they're good for what they are, but it's still just a Chinese catalog "brand" but one that's established enough to make good most of the time when they sell duds.
