If u dont want stetsom or sundown, you mite be lucky to get a used IA 40.1 for around $650-700. They are really good amps

ok so i got 2x aq hdc3's dual 1's to work with.. now the amp either has to run .25, 1, or 4

That rules out the 4k2d, you could look at a stetsom 5kd 1ohm version, but that maybe out of your budget

.25 is not good for daily in any circumstance, only for comps (JMO)

1 ohm = most flexible, most choices

4 ohm = ? not. 4 ohm = 1990's and Class AB amps, not Stetsoms, and Sundowns... unless you were talking SAX-125.2 or something.... but you are talking big class D power.

seriously though...i would jump on the presale of the 4500d if those hdc3's are the alum coils.

if not then the 3000d would suffice.

Honestly with stock alt you'd really be limiting either amp to it's potential especially the 4k2d.
