I think the argument is the rash statements that have no real basis. AQ is a great brand, at a great value. are they up to Sundown spec, no. Would I use either one, hell yea! I just don't get the hating when there is no science behind it. I mean if sundown was a ugly pink color, that would be a reason, but I see nothing in the agruments posed previously to justify the point of view.

Well, "IMO", I think audioque amps are priced fairly, they are built tough, and like i said, how many of them do you ever see broken or fried, unlike sundown amps, that are all over Db-r.com.
I also like the fact that they look nice, solid black finish, and a clipping indicator on the bass remote.

In order to make any statement about statistical reliability you need to know how many amps I sell -- which you don't -- FYI.

You must also understand that I almost always send replacement amps rather than repair for customer -- so therefore amps are available for sale through dB-R rather than going back to the customers after repair. Only a very small % of amps sent back to me are repaired -- most are just replaced to make it faster for the customer. Not sure why this is so hard to understand but I see the same argument all the time about "so many" amps available for refurbishing -- unfortunately offering good service by quickly replacing an amp opens Sundown up to this sort of uninformed statement.

Also most of the ones you see are from customer abuse and errors and/or operation well outside of specifications (eg: running 1500Ds on 20v is a bad idea for an extended time period). Not only that but I ALSO offer to upgrade people who are well out of warranty to a newer amp for their old blown amp + cash so I get a few more that way (these are 2+ year old amplifiers which have usually been through numerous prior owners) -- but I guess that is just another reason why "Sundown is gay."

Oh yah... AND we sell through local dealers and offer *excellent* exchange policies for them... you would be amazed what people do to amps that have NO education on stereos... not even from internet forums... ("I want the low ohms!" - Actual customer).

So many online guys forget that Sundown Audio is a dealer based product. It is very competitively priced against other dealer based products. What does that mean to the customer? It means you have dealers and reps all over the country to provide in person tech support to the consumers. It means consumers can visit their local dealer to pick up product in person instead of waiting on a shipment. You won't get that from factory direct companies. Now is there a dealer or rep everywhere? Not yet but we're working on that. Sundown Audio is expanding everyday and will not be limited by online sales only.

Sundown Audio has arguably the best warranty in the business. If you send a product in under warranty 99% of the time you get a brand new item immediately shipped back to you. Turn around time is very minimal. You will not get that kind of service with other companies. A lot of people don't even pay attention to the 5 year discount replacement warranty. I'm not aware of any other companies that offer that nor any other companies that do the trade-ins like Sundown Audio does. Jacob really does go above and beyond to ensure customer satisfaction.

I am very pleased with sundown audio and will continue to buy their products regardless of what people on the forum think is "gay" Customer service is above and beyond, and the products are on par or better than its competitors.

sony explode amps > all fyi......... ive heard you can strap them at .0000001ohms when paired with funky pups.....lol. but the tsunami's and earthquakes and shit happens, so we need to find out who is running a setup like this cause 2012 is to close to prevoke other nature....lol
