any amp out there to do same power, and as efficient as either thats better price or slightly more but you get much more power

AB 500.1, AB 400.1?? RD 5750.1?

What do you mean by come alive? Will it still do over it's rated at 12v?
Draw – 450 amps at 12 volts and 560 amps at 17 volts full tilt.
Power - 3600x1 at 12.8, 4600-4800x1 at 14.4, 7500-8000x1 at 17 volts all at 1 ohm.

I have no doubt the 40.1 is the stronger amp. Because of that it'll also have more current draw. As for the AQ3500 I know it's the same ratings but I'd bet that the Sundown is more under-rated as far as actual power output. As for the 400.1 a local competitor (and hardcore Amercian Bass guy) recently tested out a Sundown saz-3500d and gained an instant 0.5db at a comp. He promptly sold that 400.1 and bought an saz-3500d.

You need to be very specific with the main criteria you want to base this comparison on. Most power output, cheapest price, or least current draw? I doubt any of these choices will be the best at all three of those.

well with an ALT that does 160-170 idle 250 max, 2 runs of 1/0 to the back for power, a single C&D 134AH battery and a SPV70. I should be alright??

If not I will get two C&D batterys in the back and replace the duralast upfront with the spv70 if it fits if not i will add it with the C&D's in the back

How would that do for the IA 40.1 current.

Also which amp can run lower for daily. Both amps at 1ohm which will put out more power at 12.5 volts?

He means the on-paper ratings are the same but the SAZ-3500D exceeds the ratings by a higher margin. The SAZ-3500D has 33% more output FETs than the AQ-3500D, more caps in the power supply section, and a bit larger transformers.

On 12v drop-in vs. the SAZ-3000D at 1 ohm it was a full 1dB louder - so it's reactive load performance is on par with a 4kw amp or more (since it out-performs the AB VFL-400.1 as well).

If buying used... the 40.1 is still a strong amp and I have not tested it head to head vs. the SAZ-3500D.
