Only testing in equal installs will answer your initial question, the 3500D is very popular and I believe there is a new 40.1 on the way.
u lil rd hore! //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/laugh.gif.48439b2acf2cfca21620f01e7f77d1e4.gifdon't rule out the RD D9 for the same power.
thanks. you answer my question. He means the on-paper ratings are the same but the SAZ-3500D exceeds the ratings by a higher margin. The SAZ-3500D has 33% more output FETs than the AQ-3500D, more caps in the power supply section, and a bit larger transformers.
On 12v drop-in vs. the SAZ-3000D at 1 ohm it was a full 1dB louder - so it's reactive load performance is on par with a 4kw amp or more (since it out-performs the AB VFL-400.1 as well).
If buying used... the 40.1 is still a strong amp and I have not tested it head to head vs. the SAZ-3500D.
they didnt stop making them. they are coming out with a newer version. Why did they stop making the 40.1 I mean people talk about how good they are all the time, yet IA quits selling them. Makes a lot of seance . They have been off the market for a long time. Real smart people at IA.
I doubt there was a whole lot of a market for a 4K watt amp. Plus they are building a new one, so we shall see what they come up with. Why did they stop making the 40.1 I mean people talk about how good they are all the time, yet IA quits selling them. Makes a lot of seance . They have been off the market for a long time. Real smart people at IA.
