that price is a bit steep.

If you compare it to similar amps from authorized dealers it is extremely fair. To be perfectly accurate the MSRP is $1099 on the 3000D.

Feels like I have the price discussion online every day, compare pricing to something from Memphis or Crossfire at an authorized dealer -- other companies that actually control the flow of their product from flooding e-bay and other unauthorized dealers. That is when you will see that the price is very comparable to the market, and actually is lower than the other comparable products.

Maybe steep to you, sure, if warranty and service aren't something that you look for then you might be right. So far nobody has a strong enough 12v system to cut it... if I get some free time over the weekend I'll do my best. I have 3x Kinetik 2400s and a couple other batteries around, but only a 50-amp power supply.

Hmmm... maybe in my brother's truck... if the impedance rise isn't too ridiculous in his box that just might work out. He should be by over the weekend, so we'll see. He has two alts and two batteries stock... and one addition G31 DEKA Intimidator.
