the sa-8 is the baddest 8 on the market (until the x-8 comes out in 6 months or so)

it belongs in a ported box to to unleash its full potential

Yes, definitely don't tune any higher than 35hz. As far as your port goes, 6" depth is not going to cut it, and multiple ports that equal the same port area as a single big port need to be a little longer than what the single port would be...you can't just cut down on port length by using more ports, just doesn't work that way.

What box are you building that limits your port length to 6"?

RAM......the box depth and space are the reasons for the depth issue.

Bassin.....once again it is a space issue.....The enclosure is going behind the seat of a Ford Supercrew.There is bracing for the truck in front of the box which keeps me from running it there.When the seat is in the upright position,it keeps me from running the port out of the top.I hope these 8"s are gonna be worth it.
