Sun Down Vs Sound Stream

Even Meade doesn't listen to his system any where near max potential for long periods of time, 'daily'. Those huge RF amps aren't even designed to put out that ridiculous amount of power for very long (less than a minute iirc).
yup i seen that . But I ain't going to bump at full tilt all day just for sideshows and most of the day i will be using only half of both amps so 3000 rms for daily. who thinks 2000 rms to each woofer is a bad idea . I see smaller woofers take 2kw daily

You still haven't answered what kind of electrical upgrades you have.

You do realize that 6000 watts rms is over 1200 ampere's of current draw at full tilt, I don't see anyone with a daily set-up that is capable of sustaining that much amperage demand.

Secondly your not taking into account, a thing called thermal compression. Once the coils get to a certain temperature they absorb less current, you are loosing efficiency. You can break 150dB with a great box build and 4kw.

If this is for daily, even a XXX would have issues dispersing all of that heat, and it would 'possibly' even have mechanical issues with 6kw @ 28 hz.

Just to give you an idea of the cost to run a daily 6kw set-up. You are looking at 5-6 runs of 1/0. 4 group 31 batteries, and at least a triple alternator setup. And that is for a bare minimum. You probably still wouldn't be able to full-tilt your system for more than 30 seconds with the car on.

1200 amperes? how do you figure?

well the way i am planning it its going to be 6-7 batteries dual alt set up and 5-6 runs of 0 GA BUT LIKE I SAID NORMALLY IM ONLY GOING TO BE PUSHING 3500-4000 watts .Now on bass race, full tilt when needed.

Ohms Law is your answer

I=W/E

I=6000/11= 545

Saz-3000d is ~70% efficient @ 1ohm

800 amperes of current draw possible without clipping.

I know that I was popping 300 amp fuses with saz-1500d's in competition when I really got on them. I know part of it was due to lower voltage. I stand corrected though, when I talked to Jacob earlier he said it was a little bit less. A pair of saz-3000d's could draw in excess of 1000 amperes of current full tilt.

12kw daily rofl

6kw is NOT 1200A draw. If you can sustain 12v, its only 715A playing 0db sine waves. Don't see where you get the extra 40%. If you get the alternators and batteries to back it up, you can lower that an extra 100A to 615 @ 14v.

Runnin 6K plus to a SS XXX daily, and it loves it.
My opinion is that I love single subwoofer setups that are setup for daily doin 150's + POWER FTW!!!

XXX gets my vote
The single coil doesnt love 6k+ watts. It gets loud as heck off it, Im sure, but Im sure it doesnt like it.

it's ganna be more like 3 k to each xxx. 6k if i plan on making a fart box. if the xx doesnt handle 3k daily , it aint worth it. i know the night shades could probly handle the 3kw. i originally was going to do 8 kicker 12s but im selling them to pay bills and then do a huge build. still need more imput. so galactic . u dont think the xxx will handle 3kw?

Fixed for you. I was going to try and read the entire post but it was like looking directly into the sun w/o my stunna shades. Dawg.
