Ok , I dont just need people blabbing about something they dont know or taking a guess . The woofers of choice is going to be , 1 Soundstream XXX 15 off A SAZ3000d or 2 SunDown Night shade 15's OFF A SAZ3000D . Now i am a bigg fan of SD, but i know the XXX will take 6000 watts in the future. The only reason i am considering the xxx is becuase in the future if i want to go 12,000 watts i can strap 2 3000d's to each xxx woofer.

2 sundowns, period. More cone area.

ps 12kw is gonna take a ton of battery power and give you little to no return with any woofer. Unless your competing there really is no need for that much powa

you said what i could not come up with the words to say //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif i did four 2500d's in my crx with two mojo 15's and it was only 1 or so db louder than with two 2500d's. No juice, no watts!

even if you had the bat power for it, your not gonna gain that much. at that point your pushing any woofer to its limit.

ARE YOU SURE? then i dont understand why Meade and other do some crazy install ranging in high WAtts. power is good if you can hold it. i seriously dought that 2 SD will take 6kw per pair. but then again i dont think the xxx will take 6000 all day either. its for a car show / daily driver!

because he has 4 18s to spread the power across, also i highly doubt he is getting as much power as he says he is.

For a daily driver, I had 10kw and it was a bit excessive

DB's are not a concern to me . Im looking for street pounder. I will start with with one 3000d then work my way to the second. after that . If i see that any of the woofers can take that power ill add the second set of amps just to rip Peoples heads off. like i said car show . i will only be using 2 3000 for daily

Meh, if you're having to use meade as an example then you clearly need to step away from the computer for a second and rethink things. He does that because he has the money to and he's making money by doing it. If you really want to give a single sub 6k rms daily then be my guest, but you can do sooooo much better for less. The single 3k and the 2 15" nightshades will be more than enough for any daily driver setup IMO

LOL only. GL man. I had 2 saz 300ds in my truck on 4 shocker sig 15s, very large sub with a huge coil. And listening to it for long periods of time, which you couldnt drive or sit in, the subs would start to stink. 3kw is alot of power for any driver for a prolonged period

x2. How many locals do you EVER see running a true 3k in their daily cars?

thats what im scared of . 3000 watts is alot. for any woofer . but when i put 12000 watts it only for comps or bass racing . daliy is going to be 6kw on a pair of xxx 15's. that sound cherry for daily dont ya think

For some reason, 3kw and daily just don't go together..//content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/biggrin.gif.d71a5d36fcbab170f2364c9f2e3946cb.gif

Do what Chad suggests, spread the power across multiple units. Not doing so will net you a crispy coil.

i aggre . but do u realy think that the XXX wont take 3000 daily

I know the new Nightshades can take a beating. I put my original prototype in my car and it slams pretty good, doesn't get hot and is pretty musical. However, if I had the room, I'd run two on my 3000D if I could. I'm not sure that I'd push that amp that hard on those subs (3kw to one I mean) because I don't want to have to have them re-coned. I don't know if they could handle 3kw or not, I just wouldn't risk it. Also, I would never go over 3kw for daily. Over that is just a waste of power if you not competing. But that's just me.

i aggree with all youre guys responces but i will prolly only have the gain half ways up on either set up
the gain isnt a power knob, its used to match the input stage of your amp to the preout voltage of the HU..... //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/wow.gif.23d729408e9177caa2a0ed6a2ba6588e.gif
