I'm lookin for a good quality amp to push my Ti. I need around 1.5-2.0kW @ 2ohms. Currently, I have my eye on a refurbed PA 2250-D, anyone have any other suggestions for this type oof power below $400?

Well you could TRY to find a KX1200.1 for under $400.00. Or you could check out this amp http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&category=18797&item=5728804020&rd=1. I'd go for the MTX.

I dont knwo if you know but these Ti's like a lot of power, takes quite a bit to get em movin real nice. I was thiknin abotu the 2250D because it is 1ohm (and less) stable.

Has anyone ran a 1501D @ 1ohm?

I dont want to have to change amps again in the near future if I change subs.

That MTX will be MORE than enough for that sub. If you wanted to upgrade your subs in the future, you could always buy a couple 2 ohm DVC subs or a 1 ohm DVC sub or something along those lines. Besides that, I'd take a MTX amp over a PA amp any day.

And why is that? Do you have experience withthe PA amps?

Also, I do want a quality amp, thats why im not goin for somethin like an earthquake.

May I ask why you want to put 1500w into a sub that is rated for 750w? Unless you plan to compete (with one sub?) then you don't need that much power.

Yes, I do have experience with PA amps. Their amps are pretty good bang for the buck, but the quality is mediocre compared to MTX. MTX amps are also more true to their ratings - not that PA amps are grossly overrated.

Yea you can ask.

That is with the volume almost maxed, NF Lvl on the Hu at max, and bass boost knob at more than half way. Do you know what a Ti is capable of? The 700 or so watts it is getting right now is not enough for it, and they can handle in excess of 1,500watts. It doesnt even wang much more than that free-air with this power.

Well, not that I dont believe you but I have had many more approvals than dissaprovals for the 2250d,.

I appreciate yalls suggestions, and would appreciate it even more if yall kept em comin.
