Suggestions on a cheap combo?

Okay, so I'm looking to upgrade the sound system in my 72 Stingray but, as much of an audiophile as I am, I don't want to spend much money. I'm hoping to get everything for about $350. All I need is a decently good head unit (MUST have an aux input!) and 4 4x6s. I'm more concerned with sound quality on the HU rather than features, as I'll be playing my iPod through it almost all the time. The thing is, I'd rather go with 6x9s or something for the two rear speakers, but I have to put two 4x6s in the front and if I get something different for the rears, I'm afraid the EQing would be all messed up...suggestions? Been looking at Crutchfield's customer reviews, but I thought it'd be a lot more helpful to ask around here...Thanks in advance! Heh, well the thing is that I don't care if I don't have the greatest set-up in my car - I just want something better than the stock (circa 1972) stuff in there now. I'm not willing to shell out much more than $350 for a system on my car - I'd rather spend it on other stuff (for my car). I just want to be able to hook my iPod up and have it sound reasonably decent. I found a great deal on a Kenwood EZ-500 for about $90 and I can shell out almost $250 for the speakers (need to save some money for boxes for the speakers in the box)...

I got 2 bnib powerbass 4x6's for 10 bucks shipped off ebay. Sound really good probly best 10 dollars ive ever spent.

well if you want good SQ for cheep, you might as well not jump the gun and look for something used off ebay or here but be careful
