I'am looking to put 2-12" speakers in my car. i was wondering if the forum could help me out. The system will be starting from scratch. I have done some research and these subs seem to top quality. cant move on until i decide that where you all come in. the subs will be going into a cavailer, probably ported box, that is if i can fit 2 12" subs into the trunk. can you on the forum give me some info and opinions. i'm in the michigan "thumb" area, just got outta college and gots me a new job so i am treating myself to a new system of quality.

currently have 2-12" W0 JL's sealed with only and dont LOL about 250-300 watts to them so this will be HUGE HUGE jump.

No iam not. after i make my desicion i would have to seek out a distributor or something to that nature.

i would say brahma or w7. xxx would eat up way too much space ported, plus these 2 will work better if you are using a smaller amp.

Can't get a new xxx and dont think you can get a new brahma either(dont really check on em so I can't be sure). Also ice... does the brahma and w7 really need a much smaller box than 2 cubes for a 12?

One 12w7 would probablly be enough, u can get them to hit really hard with the right amp so maybe jsut get a 12w7 and a JL 1000/1

whats your guys's opinions on those brahmas, will they hit some killer bass. i dont know anyone who has had that kind. also could i get 2 of those 12's in my trunk.

Plus i'm looking into using an orion 2500d amp. from what i have heard its dependable and very good overall. hope this will also help in choosing a set of 12inch subs.

well the W7 is just way to much money to me and if i heard right, kickers and XXX need pretty big boxes ported... i would go with brahma, plus.. its pretty cheap(not as in cheap quality in case you got confused or something //content.invisioncic.com/y282845/emoticons/smile.gif.1ebc41e1811405b213edfc4622c41e27.gif)what do you mean you can't get a new XXX or Brahma. they aren't being sold anymore???

the new versions haven't been released yet. i got an orion 2500D and i'll be running 2 soundsplinter rl-p's in a sealed box. might also want too look into a pair of ID maxes.

I can barely fit 2 10s ported in my cavalier. I would reccommend you get only 1 12 for ported and 2 12s sealed. Sealed always works good for me.

if i go sealed, would that change any ideas for subs. i do like the xxx'x but once again availability. any other idea's out there.

Well I have a 2002 cavalier Ls and just bought 2 of the alpine type r's that would be a big step up from your W0. You can seal them and save the space and will sound good. I got mine being powered by a 1100 lanzar vfc high current amp at 1 ohm and is slamming. Would say I am doing 145 or so dbs. Far cry from my other cars but I am getting old and ears cant hold up anymore lol! Also alpine is a good sq woofer. Well good luck on what ever you decide. Peace!
