Suggestion on choosing a sub for a Range Rover....

hi,

i want to add a little more bass to my already competent Logic 7 system in my Rover. I am not a bass head and dont really want to be heard down the street. Just some clean and clear bass, but also louder than my stock sub. I am leaning toward just having one because i dont want it to take all of my trunk space. Any suggestions? right now i am considering 1 12 inch w3 with a 500W amp or 1 12 W1 with a 250W amp. will a w3 be too loud? which has better SQ? thank you for helping me!

The statement will it be too loud is really subjective. For most on here no, but for you, it might be enough.

Do you have a budget that we can work with? And you just want a new sub stage but no head unit, or speakers?

x2 on staying away from JL. They're not bad, but much better can be had for the same price.

a 500 watt amp will be plenty enough with most woofers.

yeah sorry I know its a pretty subjective thing how loud you want your speakers. Yeah I don't want to mess with the stock radio or speakers, just add probably one sub in a custom enclosure where the stock sub is located right now. I've heard good things about jl but don't know much about other brands. Thanks for the help!
