what are you looking for in the charger? price and so on

i use a miller welder to charge batteries at home haha, but i also have this craftsman portable instant chargers, ran around $225 but its well worth it in a pinch, i used it on my boat for about a year and it works like a champ...just depends on what u need...

I dont know to much about battery chargers but im looking for one to charge up my yellow top everytime it gets drained when my car sits for a while. Price wise, looking to spend

I could get This One for $25...would that do the job or should I pass on it?
Schumacher SpeedCharge chargers are pretty good AFAIK. You can get them fairly cheap on ebay I think (probably how you got that $25 figure?) and I'd go with the best model one you can afford (the higher models have higher charge currents and also have engine start facilities too, if you're interested in that).

I've have one of the SpeedCharge chargers in the 30/10/2A + 60A engine start variety for a few years and it's a great charger. Mine is a Motomaster Eliminator(Canadian Tire) rebrand--many companies actually use these chargers branded differently. Odessey battery chargers are also SpeedCharge rebrands from the looks of it.

slow charging usually charges the battery better

fast charge yeilds say a 70% charge

slow chage yields say a 80% charge

three stage charger yields a 105% charge * i just used these numbers for an example i dont know exaclty how large the difference is *
